Job summary

Centurion Health in Florida City is seeking a full-time Behavioral Health Technician with a Bachelor's degree in Psychology or Social Work to join the Dade Correctional Institution team.

The role involves participating in weekly treatment planning meetings, implementing interventions, supervising patients, providing daily living skills education, and coordinating telepsychiatry appointments. The position is day shift, 8am-4:30pm, Tuesday-Saturday or Sunday-Thursday.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Social Work or Psychology.
• Two years or more experience providing activities programming for patients with serious mental illness.
• Competencies with Excel sufficient to create, maintain, and update scheduling databases.
• Must have active Basic Life Support (BLS) CPR certification.
• Must pass background investigation and obtain agency security clearance where applicable.

Responsibilities

• Participates in weekly multidisciplinary treatment planning meetings and implements interventions.
• Supervises patients and provides education in daily living activities.
• Provides care and activities programming and social rehabilitation and leisure activities.
• Assists in preparation and maintenance of patient mental health records.
• Schedules, sets up, operates and supervises telepsychiatry appointments.
