Job summary

Maricopa County seeks an Addictionologist to join their Correctional Health Services team in Phoenix, Arizona. This position offers the chance to impact the lives of incarcerated individuals through integrated health care solutions.

The ideal candidate will have a Doctoral degree in Medicine and experience in addiction medicine, working collaboratively in a dynamic environment dedicated to serving the community.

Qualifications

• Five or more years of working with a strong focus on Addiction Medicine may be approved to substitute certification.
• Completion of a Fellowship in addiction medicine and two years of experience practicing may substitute certification.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement CHS Policies and Clinical Practice Guidelines.
• Evaluate patients with addiction disorders and provide evidence-based treatments.
• Recognize, evaluate, and treat psychiatric and physical complications of addiction.

Skills

Experience working with incarcerated individuals

Experience with patients with substance use disorders

Clinical leadership experience

Education

Doctoral degree in Medicine (MD or DO)

Completed an accredited Residency Program
