Job Description

Corporate Treasury – Resource Deployment & Strategy – Analyst – Salt Lake City

Corporate Treasury plays a central role in the firm’s overall strategy, responsible for providing appropriate funding to support all firmwide activities while maximizing net interest income. The division raises funding and capital via public and private markets, allocates financial resources to facilitate client activity and strategic initiatives, and manages the firm’s asset-liability risk and liquidity portfolio. It engages with capital markets, ratings agencies, regulatory bodies, and internal business lines.

About The Role

Within the Resource Deployment and Strategy (RDS) team, individuals manage the firm’s balance sheet from both asset and liability perspectives, contributing to the firm’s funding strategy. Responsibilities include designing funding strategies, managing debt and equity programs, and optimizing the firm’s funding mix to minimize costs while managing risks. The role involves detailed trade recommendations and strategic thinking, requiring deep knowledge of funding products and underlying business activities.

Responsibilities and Qualifications
  • Develop and optimize the firm’s funding liability strategy considering cost, diversification, maturity, and liquidity metrics.
  • Conduct scenario analysis to inform liability management and resource allocation decisions.
  • Partner with stakeholders across divisions to deploy the balance sheet and facilitate new product launches.
  • Create reports and present analyses on funding plans to senior management, regulators, and investors.
  • Engage with external stakeholders including regulatory and rating agencies.
Basic Qualifications
  • Strong analytical skills with experience in detailed analysis and presenting to senior management.
  • Risk management mindset with ability to identify and mitigate risks.
  • Motivated self-starter capable of operating in fast-paced environments.
  • Experience with data management and business intelligence tools such as Tableau.
  • Understanding of liquidity metrics and bank balance sheets. Knowledge of deposits, fixed income, repo, and equities markets is a plus.
  • Excellent communication skills for producing polished presentations.
  • Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills.
