Huntington Bank seeks a professional to assist in managing its derivatives portfolio with emphasis on interest rate hedging strategies. You will support balance sheet activities and MSR hedging, and assist in debt and securitized issuance, drawing on 2+ years in fixed income or strong academic background in Finance.

The role requires collaboration across risk and finance teams, proficiency in Excel, and familiarity with Python/R for analytics.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance or Economics.
• Minimum 3 years' experience working in fixed income markets.
• MBA/CFA charter holder or pursuing one is a plus.
• Strong knowledge of credit fundamentals and rates markets.

The Role assists in the management of the bank’s derivatives portfolio with a focus on analyzing interest rate hedging strategies. The role will support balance sheet activities and MSR portfolio hedging. The role will also assist with the bank’s debt issuance and securitize issuance. The ideal candidate will have 2+ experience in fixed income portfolio management and/or a strong academic background in Finance.

Position Responsibilities:

• Produce actionable market and economic research to support investment and hedging decisions.
• Ensure portfolio compliance and corporate governance standards are met
• Assist in managing portfolio risk
• Work jointly with credit and market risk on limit design and calibration
• Assist in managing portfolio risk
• Assist with debt and securitized issuance.
• Work with AI to help drive process efficiencies.
• Contribute to the development of investment and portfolio management guidelines and strategies, including risk and return objectives, risk and concentration constraints, and regulatory requirements.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance or Economics
• Minimum of 3 years' experience working in fixed income markets

Preferred Qualifications:

• MBA/CFA charter holder or desire to work toward either
• Deep knowledge and understanding of credit fundamentals
• High level of understanding of the rates markets, including interest rate swaps/swaptions/collars/floors.
• Strong communications/presentation skills
• Ability to handle complex business problems
• Strong analytical skills
• Proficient in excel /Python/R
