Confidential Employer in Hartford, CT seeks a Corporate Transactions Attorney with 3+ years in corporate transactional law to join our business law team. The role offers an opportunity to work on sophisticated M&A and commercial transactions and to prepare for a long-term succession plan.

You will draft and negotiate complex agreements, advise on governance and formation, and collaborate with senior attorneys to grow a thriving practice.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor from an accredited law school.
• 3+ years of corporate transactional experience.
• Hands-on experience with mergers and acquisitions (M&A).
• Experience drafting and negotiating commercial agreements and corporate transactional documents.
• Active Connecticut Bar admission or ability to become admitted promptly.

Responsibilities

• Represent clients in mergers, acquisitions, and a broad range of business transactions.
• Draft, review, and negotiate commercial contracts, purchase agreements, and corporate transactional documents.
• Advise businesses on corporate governance, entity formation, and general corporate matters.
• Conduct due diligence and assist with structuring, negotiating, and closing transactions.
• Collaborate with experienced attorneys to develop practical, business-focused legal strategies.
• Build meaningful client relationships while gradually assuming greater responsibility for an established practice.
• Contribute to the continued success and growth of our corporate and business services team.

Location: Hartford, CT. This is a primarily on-site position in our Hartford office, with potential hybrid flexibility based on individual circumstances. We welcome candidates throughout Hartford County and surrounding Connecticut communities.

Note: Candidates must have 3+ years of corporate transactional legal experience, including mergers and acquisitions (M&A) and commercial or corporate transactional drafting.
