Job summary

Compass Group USA invites qualified students to join our Corporate Income Tax Internship in Charlotte, NC. The program runs May 17, 2027 through Aug 6, 2027, totaling 40 hours per week (Monday–Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM).

You will gain hands-on experience in a large corporate tax department, performing tax form preparation, data analysis, and working with ERP systems. The internship offers exposure to state and local income/franchise tax, tax software, and collaboration with corporate teams.

Qualifications

• Junior/Senior/Graduate student in accounting or related program, GPA 3.0+
• Strong MS Office skills (Excel, Word, Outlook)
• Excellent communication skills, both oral and written
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
• High attention to detail and organization with multi-tasking
• Strong interpersonal skills
• Self-directed, proactive, and curious

Responsibilities

• Prepare corporate state and local income and franchise returns, extension requests, and estimated payments
• Assist in the preparation of documentation to support tax return calculations and filing positions
• Respond to income tax inquiries and assessments
• Support special projects as assigned
