Job summary

Elevate LLC seeks an experienced Tax Manager/Director focused on corporate and business entity returns to lead the Raleigh partner firm. You will collaborate with the Tax Partner to shape tax strategy, client service, and team development, while expanding the corporate tax practice for middle-market clients.

The ideal candidate brings deep ASC 740 knowledge, strong leadership, and a proven record of growing a corporate tax advisory and compliance practice with private equity-backed firms.

Qualifications

• Active CPA license required.
• 10+ years of progressive experience in corporate taxation.
• Experience with ASC 740, multi-state corporate compliance, and M&A due diligence.

Responsibilities

• Lead and expand the corporate tax practice for the Raleigh partner firm, with responsibility for growth, client service, and team leadership.
• Deliver high-quality tax advisory and compliance services to C-Corporations and PE-backed portfolio companies.
• Review complex corporate tax provisions (ASC 740) and multi-entity structures.
• Oversee preparation and review of Forms 1120 and related state/local filings.
• Advise on entity structuring, transaction planning, and tax due diligence.
• Develop budgets/pricing, assign workloads, and prepare management reports.
• Drive practice growth through new business development with corporate CFOs and sponsors.
• Recruit, mentor, and lead a high-performing corporate tax team.
