Job summary

Blue Ridge Public Television in Roanoke, Virginia has an opening for a full-time Corporate Support Representative. You will generate sponsorship, underwriting, and production revenue for Blue Ridge PBS, PBS Appalachia, and ECHO TV, identifying sponsors and building community and business relationships.

Job description

Blue Ridge Public Television has an immediate opening for a full-time Corporate Support Representative based at Blue Ridge PBS in Roanoke, Virginia.

The successful candidate will generate sponsorship, underwriting, and production revenue for Blue Ridge PBS, PBS Appalachia, and ECHO TV. Responsibilities include identifying prospective sponsors, developing community and business relationships, preparing sponsorship proposals, meeting revenue goals, and representing the organization at networking and community events.

Strong communication, presentation, writing, organizational, and relationship-building skills are required. A bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in sales, marketing, fundraising, communications, media, nonprofit development, or a related field is preferred. Experience in media sales, sponsorships, advertising, fundraising, or corporate partnerships is a plus. Local and regional travel is required.

Compensation is $45,000–$50,000 annually, plus a commission structure of up to 20%.
