Job summary

Direct Travel is seeking a Senior Corporate Travel Advisor to oversee comprehensive, cost-effective travel arrangements for clients within company policies using corporate contracts and preferred suppliers. Responsibilities include handling air, hotel, ground transport, and multi-segment itineraries across domestic and international trips.

The role requires 10+ years of travel planning experience, strong GDS proficiency, and exceptional attention to detail.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience providing domestic and international travel arrangements.
• High proficiency using one or more GDS.
• Experience creating domestic and international multi-segment, multi-destination itineraries.
• Must demonstrate thorough knowledge of airline ticketing rules and regulations.
• Proficient in producing lowest logical airfare within client’s policy.
• Understands international airfares and international ticketing.
• Proficient in Internet searches and online booking processes.
• Thorough working knowledge of exchanging, reissue of tickets.
• Must be able to thoroughly read, understand and follow client travel policies and guidelines.
• Excellent communication skills via email and phone; ability to meet and exceed performance standards.
• Accurate and detail oriented.
• Work well under pressure and adapt to change.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel).
• Works well independently as well as in a group.

Responsibilities

• Support multiple accounts or a dedicated customer.
• Operate within detailed procedures.
• Interact with travelers and travel arrangers; provide first-level customer service support.
• Ensure compliance with client travel policy while using DT vendors.
• Follow DT customer service standards and escalation procedures.
• Adhere to company procedures, tools, productivity, accuracy, and attendance.
• Attend staff/training meetings; may require in-office work.
• Maintain positive relationships with other employees to promote a cooperative environment.

Job description

As a key member of the Operations Team, the Senior Corporate Travel Advisor will be responsible for the successful completion of comprehensive, accurate , cost-effective travel arrangements for Direct Travel clients within company policies utilizing corporate contracts and preferred suppliers in an efficient and professional manner.

Responsibilities

• Complete domestic and international travel arrangements for clients which may include air, hotel, ground transportation, rail and limos
• May s upport multiple accounts , or a dedicated customer
• Operates within detailed procedures
• Interacts with travelers and travel arranger s and provides 1st level of support for customer service and technical issues
• Ensures compliance of a client’s travel policy while utilizing DT preferred vendors
• Adheres to DT standards in delivering customer service including phone and email etiquette, and follows prescribed customer service escalation procedure
• Follows company standards regarding procedures, utilization of tools, productivity, accuracy of work, and attendance
• Attend staff and training meetings for ongoing updates in travel industry and office procedures which may require you to work in the office if home based
• Maintains a favorable working relationship with all other company employees to foster and promote a cooperative working environment
