Job summary

Allied Universal Services is seeking a Professional Security Officer to protect facilities in a corporate environment. Officers deter crime, report suspicious activity, and enforce client rules while providing professional service to employees and guests.

Requirements include 18+ years old, a high school diploma or equivalent (or 5 years of verifiable experience), strong communication, and the ability to handle crisis situations.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age.
• High school diploma or equivalent (or 5 years verifiable experience).
• Effective written and oral communication and interpersonal skills.
• Licensing requirements subject to state/local laws and regulations.
• Background investigation and a drug screen as a condition of employment.
• Display exceptional customer service and communication skills.
• Intermediate computer skills to operate wireless technology at client sites.
• Ability to handle crisis situations calmly and efficiently.
• Able to work in varied environments and lift up to 40 pounds; climb stairs/ramps as needed.

Responsibilities

• Build, improve and maintain relationships with client employees and guests.
• Report safety concerns, security breaches and unusual circumstances in writing and verbally.
• Conduct access screening for employees, visitors, and vendors using camera or thermometer tech.
• Ensure safety measures during screening and follow customer guidelines.
• Stand or walk for long periods and operate at client sites as required.
