Bank of Hawaii is seeking a Corporate Security Specialist to serve as an Individual Contributor, handling incident evaluation, security coordination, and protection activities. The role analyzes security events, administers key components of the Security Program, and supports risk mitigation across the organization.

The specialist collaborates with law enforcement, manages executive protection tasks, and ensures compliance with regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in criminal justice, security management, or a related field; equivalent combinations may be considered.
• 2+ years of experience in security operations, law enforcement, or related field involving public interaction.
• Basic knowledge of alarm monitoring, CCTV systems, and fire reporting systems; proficient with related software.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate incoming security incidents by reviewing facts, evidence, and documentation; escalate and notify stakeholders as needed.
• Coordinate security program activities, including installation, maintenance, and testing of security systems and procedures.
• Coordinate with law enforcement agencies; facilitate reporting, information exchange, and evidentiary support; handle subpoenas and legal requests.
• Execute security measures for executive protection, board meetings, and elevated risk scenarios; manage access control and contracted security personnel.
• Monitor security conditions, identify risks, and recommend control improvements; stay aware of emerging threats and security trends.
• Investigate security-related incidents; gather evidence, document findings, and support loss prevention efforts.
• Maintain clear case documentation and reporting; generate comprehensive reports for internal reviews and legal requirements.
• Coordinate and deliver security training to promote awareness of fraud schemes and risk prevention.
• Assist with subpoenas, documentation, and inquiries; may provide testimony as required.
• Support branch security reviews and adherence to regulatory guidelines and internal standards.
