IS THIS YOU?
  • You're an experienced investigator with 5+ years of corporate, law enforcement, retail, or workplace investigative experience -- you conduct complex, multi-subject investigations with objectivity, sound judgment, and meticulous documentation
  • You have demonstrated experience in workplace investigations involving discrimination, harassment, and retaliation -- and you understand how to conduct these with impartiality, discretion, and full compliance with applicable law
  • You're ready to own a complex, multi-jurisdictional investigative portfolio at a growing 40+ rooftop dealer group -- partnering with HR, Legal, Finance, and IT to establish facts, protect assets, and strengthen the organization's internal controls
WHO WE ARE

Swickard Auto Group is a hospitality company that happens to sell and service cars. We believe the best guest experiences start with the best employee experiences. That's why we've grown to 40+ rooftops across the West Coast, Alaska, and Hawaii while maintaining a culture built on one simple idea: do right by people, every time.

Our Shared Services team in Las Vegas supports operations across Swickard's full store network. The Corporate Security Investigator reports to the Director of Corporate Security and conducts complex investigations into suspected fraud, theft, asset misappropriation, financial misconduct, workplace threats, discrimination, harassment, retaliation, and other alleged violations of law or company policy across Swickard locations. This role partners with Human Resources, Legal, Finance, Information Technology, and operational leadership to establish facts, document findings, identify control weaknesses, and recommend corrective and preventive actions.

WHAT YOU'LL DO
  • Conduct prompt, thorough, and impartial investigations from intake through closure -- including planning, defining scope, prioritizing cases, and managing concurrent assignments
  • Investigate misconduct involving vehicle inventory, loaners, customer transactions, refunds, payments, vendors, and other company assets
  • Interview complainants, witnesses, and subjects -- assess credibility and corroborate statements with evidence
  • Collect, analyze, document, and preserve records, surveillance footage, communications, transaction data, and physical or electronic evidence -- coordinate authorized electronic evidence collection with IT and cybersecurity personnel
  • Maintain secure case records, evidence integrity, chain-of-custody documentation, and case tracking consistent with retention requirements and Legal-directed preservation holds
  • Prepare objective reports distinguishing allegations, established facts, unresolved issues, findings, and recommendations
  • Support Human Resources with fact-finding into employee complaints and disputes -- employment decisions remain with authorized leadership in consultation with Human Resources and Legal
  • Maintain working knowledge of applicable laws, policies, and investigative requirements -- coordinate legal interpretation and compliance concerns with Legal and Human Resources
  • Identify recurring misconduct, emerging risks, and control weaknesses -- recommend improvements to policies, procedures, training, and safeguarding practices
  • Promptly escalation threats, suspected retaliation, significant losses, conflicts of interest, and other urgent concerns
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders and law enforcement -- coordinate referrals and assistance requests with the Director of Corporate Security and Legal
  • Support litigation through record organization, evidence preservation, coordination with Legal and outside counsel, and testimony in administrative, civil, or criminal proceedings as required
  • Uphold ethical standards, treat participants fairly, and restrict sensitive information to individuals with an authorized business or legal need
  • Oversee Lost and Found training, semiannual compliance audits, documented property disposition, and corrective actions
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
  • High school diploma or GED and 5+ years of relevant corporate, law enforcement, retail, or comparable investigative experience -- required
  • Demonstrated experience or specialized training in workplace investigations involving discrimination, harassment, and retaliation
  • Working knowledge of applicable federal, state, and local criminal and employment laws and investigative requirements
  • Strong interviewing, credibility assessment, evidence analysis, and report-writing skills -- including review of financial records, transactions, surveillance, and electronic records
  • Sound independent judgment, objectivity, discretion, and professionalism when handling sensitive matters
  • Ability to manage competing priorities, maintain timely and accurate documentation, and communicate findings clearly to senior leadership
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and ability to use investigative case-management and surveillance systems
  • Valid driver's license and any additional license or certification required by law for assigned duties
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor's degree in criminal justice, business, accounting, human resources, or a related field.
  • Experience with California workplace investigations, automotive retail, financial fraud, or corporate asset protection.
  • Relevant certifications or training in fraud examination, workplace investigations, or investigative interviewing (e.g. CFE, AWI).
WHAT WE OFFER
  • Compensation commensurate with experience -- details provided during the interview process
  • Medical, dental, and vision insurance
  • Life insurance and supplemental coverage options
  • Paid time off and paid holidays
  • A senior investigative role with direct partnership with HR, Legal, Finance, and executive leadership across a multi-state organization
  • Career growth within a growing corporate security function at a high-growth dealer group
  • Employee vehicle purchase and service discounts
