Job summary

Newly Weds Foods is seeking a Corporate Quality Assurance Associate II to support QA/QC at headquarters and across divisions. The role includes leading quality programs, supplier audits, and preparing for customer and GFSI audits with some international travel.

The position is based at the Bryn Mawr headquarters with a hybrid schedule (four days on-site, one remote). Domestic travel is about 25% to support continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required in a related area
• Four to six years of experience preferred
• Strong math skills and statistical analysis knowledge required
• Food plant GMP/HACCP experience desired
• Strong communication and organizational skills with MS Office proficiency

Responsibilities

• Lead and support plant-based quality personnel
• Provide food safety leadership and input into product/process development
• Identify and drive company-wide quality and food safety programs
• Perform supplier/vendor audits for food safety and quality
• Assist in customer and GFSI audits preparation
• Develop facility-level environmental risk assessments
• Work with plant management to implement quality systems (HACCP/FSP, Allergen Control, Process Control)
• Set microbiological specs for finished products as needed
• Complete customer surveys and documentation as required
• Travel frequently, including international assignments; some weekends may be required
• Contribute to special projects as assigned

As the Corporate Quality Assurance Associate II, you are responsible for performing quality assurance and quality control support duties as assigned at headquarters Corporate Quality Assurance and within manufacturing Divisions and special projects.

This position is based at our headquarters in Bryn Mawr location and follows a hybrid schedule of four days on-site and one day remote per week. Domestic Travel required: 25%

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Provide leadership and support to plant based quality personnel.
• Provide quality & food safety leadership and input into product and process development activities. Work with plant and research personnel to ensure product consistency.
• Identify, lead and facilitate broad based product quality & food safety programs and improvement throughout the company to set a level of superior performance against customer expectations.
• Perform supplier/vendor food safety & quality audits.
• Assist in preparations for customer & GFSI audits.
• Assist in the development of facility based environmental program risk assessments.
• Works with plant management team to develop and implement quality system programs and policies as necessary, such as HACCP/FSP, Allergen Control, Process Control, etc.
• Develop and set microbiological specifications for finished products as needed.
• Complete customer surveys/documentation requests as needed.
• Position requires frequent travel, in some cases on short notice, with the ability to stay over weekends. Travel includes both domestic and international assignments.
• Perform other duties or special projects as specified

QUALIFICATIONS

• Require a Bachelor's Degree in a related area.
• Four to six years’ experience.
• Excellent math skills and general knowledge of statistical data analysis is required.
• Food plant experience and knowledge ofGMP and HACCP related topics is desired.
• Strong communication, analytical abilities, organization skills and general knowledge of Adobe applications, Microsoft Office.
