Job summary

Newly Weds Foods is seeking a Corporate Quality Assurance Associate II to support quality and food safety across headquarters and manufacturing divisions. You will lead QA activities, participate in audits, and help align processes with GMP/HACCP standards, with domestic and international travel.

This hybrid role is based at our Bryn Mawr headquarters with four days on-site and one day remote weekly, and requires 25% travel.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field is required.
• 4–6 years of QA/quality assurance experience.
• Strong math skills and ability to analyze data.
• Experience with GMP and HACCP is preferred.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and support to plant based quality personnel.
• Provide quality & food safety leadership and input into product and process development activities.
• Identify, lead and facilitate broad based product quality & food safety programs and improvement.
• Perform supplier/vendor food safety & quality audits.
• Assist in preparations for customer & GFSI audits.
• Assist in the development of facility based environmental program risk assessments.
• Develop and implement quality system programs and policies (HACCP/FSP, Allergen Control, Process Control).
• Develop microbiological specifications for finished products.
• Complete customer surveys/documentation requests as needed.
• Travel domestically and internationally; some trips on short notice; weekends may be required.

As the Corporate Quality Assurance Associate II, you are responsible for performing quality assurance and quality control support duties as assigned at headquarters Corporate Quality Assurance and within manufacturing Divisions and special projects.

This position is based at our headquarters in Bryn Mawr location and follows a hybrid schedule of four days on-site and one day remote per week. Domestic Travel required: 25%

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Provide leadership and support to plant based quality personnel.
• Provide quality & food safety leadership and input into product and process development activities. Work with plant and research personnel to ensure product consistency.
• Identify, lead and facilitate broad based product quality & food safety programs and improvement throughout the company to set a level of superior performance against customer expectations.
• Perform supplier/vendor food safety & quality audits.
• Assist in preparations for customer & GFSI audits.
• Assist in the development of facility based environmental program risk assessments.
• Works with plant management team to develop and implement quality system programs and policies as necessary, such as HACCP/FSP, Allergen Control, Process Control, etc.
• Develop and set microbiological specifications for finished products as needed.
• Complete customer surveys/documentation requests as needed.
• Position requires frequent travel, in some cases on short notice, with the ability to stay over weekends. Travel includes both domestic and international assignments.
• Perform other duties or special projects as specified

QUALIFICATIONS

• Require a Bachelor's Degree in a related area.
• Four to six years’ experience.
• Excellent math skills and general knowledge of statistical data analysis is required.
• Food plant experience and knowledge ofGMP and HACCP related topics is desired.
• Strong communication, analytical abilities, organization skills and general knowledge of Adobe applications, Microsoft Office.
