Job summary

The University of Maryland, College Park’s Department of Computer Science is seeking an External Relations Coordinator to support CPIC and other outreach efforts.

You will plan and execute corporate student events, coordinate industry meetings, prepare proposals and invoices, track partner activities, and assist with newsletters and communications; evenings and weekend work, plus occasional travel, may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.
• One year of professional program, outreach, or event coordination experience.
• Additional work experience may substitute education on a year-for-year basis.

Responsibilities

• Plans and executes CPIC events and other student-facing activities.
• Supports and stewards corporate partnerships with proposals and invoices.
• Coordinates industry partner meetings and CPIC member services.
• Prepares written briefings, year-end reports, and newsletters for CPIC.
• Sources information and creates weekly announcements for CPIC events.
