Job summary

Hy-Vee's Corporate Office in Grimes, IA is seeking a diligent Office Custodian to maintain a clean, safe, and orderly work environment. You will perform daily cleaning tasks such as vacuuming, dusting, mopping, restroom sanitation, and window cleaning, while restocking supplies and reporting maintenance needs.

You should have a High School diploma or equivalent and at least one year of custodian experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Minimum of one year experience as a custodian or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Vacuums, dusts, mops (damp and wet) all areas daily; steam clean or shampoo carpets as needed.
• Cleans and disinfects areas using germicidal solutions; polishes fixtures; washes walls, switches, doors; cleans windows and doors.
• Maintain a warm, friendly atmosphere for employees and visitors at the Corporate Office.
• Maintain supply inventory; prepare supply requests and usage reports.
• Follow safety procedures (OSHA, MSDS) and monitor safety-related issues; adapt to new products.
