Job summary

Amcor is looking for a high-energy, data-driven Engineering leader in Evansville, Indiana. In this role, you will coordinate with internal teams and suppliers to enhance reliability programs and optimize equipment performance. Your responsibilities will include guiding machine selections, improving processes, and ensuring safety at all facilities.

This position requires a Bachelor's degree in engineering and proficiency with Microsoft tools, particularly Excel. You'll also need to manage multiple projects effectively while promoting safety and enhancing operational efficiency.

Job Description
1.0 PURPOSE

Amcor is seeking a high-energy, data-driven Engineering leader to coordinate across internal teams, suppliers, and global manufacturing sites. This role will drive standardized reliability programs, building structured, detail-oriented processes to improve asset performance and consistency. The position will guide injection machine selection through data-based decision-making, balancing standardization with operational flexibility. It will also develop robust tools, metrics, and analytics to prioritize capital, optimize equipment, and identify training needs.

2.0 Responsibilities
  • Use caution and support facility systems to assure safety event free facilities.
  • Respond to any emergency or potential emergency following established procedures.
  • Observe, respond and report any instance of process or product non-conformity.
  • Security diligence: maintain control of key cards, prevent unauthorized entry to facilities by non‑Berry employees, and ensure proper maintenance and security of Berry equipment.
  • Successfully complete Primary Duties as outlined in 4.0 and associated training.
3.0 Authorities
  • Pause activity and notify Safety lead in any facility regarding instances of potentially unsafe work environments or employee and supplier practices.
  • Initiate action to prevent occurrences of any non-conformity of product or quality systems.
  • Initiate, recommend or provide solutions through designated channels.
  • Suggest actions for continuous improvement to products, processes, facilities or systems and implement solutions.
4.0 Primary Duties
  • Always work with safety as primary goal, adhere to Berry, industry, and/or regulatory procedures.
  • Assist teams in further development and implementation of standardized Machine Reliability & Monitoring programs.
  • Collect data to help prioritize: capital spend, equipment needs and training needs to improve machine reliability and increase uptime.
  • Guide corporate injection machine selection, support purchasing of machines, and coordinate machine moves.
  • Lead capital projects from concept, to quoting, and implementation through final review.
  • Participate in training, and develop training in areas of reliability, preventative and predictive maintenance.
5.0 Qualifications / Education Required
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent experience.
  • Plastics Industry And/or Reliability, TPM Experience Preferred.
  • Proficient with Microsoft tools. Advanced Excel expertise preferred.
  • Experience with Power Apps, Sharepoint, other data analytics or dashboarding tools a plus.
  • Must be process driven, detailed and very organized.
  • Strong time management and communication skills (written and verbal).
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet timelines.
  • Assertive, creative and data driven.
  • Ability to travel as needed, up to 25% of the time. Some international may be required.
