Job summary

K&L Gates seeks an experienced midlevel associate to join the Corporate M&A team in Charleston. The ideal candidate has 3–5 years of Corporate M&A experience with private equity transaction experience preferred.

You will draft, review, and negotiate merger and related agreements, conduct due diligence, and advise clients on corporate matters. The role offers mentoring, increasing responsibility, and direct client interaction within a leading global firm.

Qualifications

• Three to five years of Corporate M&A experience with private equity transaction experience preferred.
• Strong M&A experience drafting, reviewing and negotiating merger agreements, stock purchase agreements, asset purchase agreements, and related documents.
• Experience with partnership/joint ventures and LLC operating agreements.
• Substantial responsibility for closing M&A and related transactions.
• Due diligence reviews and advising on corporate matters.
