Job summary

Occidental is seeking a Captain to lead end-to-end flight operations on the Embraer 170. You will oversee planning, weather analysis, fuel calculations, and flight plans while coordinating with the crew and maintenance teams.

Responsibilities include preflight/postflight leadership, safety culture, and regulatory compliance. Requires ATP with EMB-170 rating, FAA First Class Medical, and relocation to Houston.

Qualifications

• 5+ years aviation flight-operations experience.
• ATP (Unrestricted or Restricted) with an EMB-170 type rating.
• Current FAA First Class Medical Certificate.
• English language proficiency.
• Restricted FCC Radiotelephone Operator Permit.
• Valid driver’s license and an unrestricted passport.
• Residence in, or willingness to relocate to, Houston, Texas.

Responsibilities

• Promote safety-first culture while delivering exceptional passenger experience.
• Operate in full compliance with 14 CFR and company SOPs.
• Plan assigned flights reviewing schedules, itineraries, and passenger/cargo needs.
• Analyze weather, determine fuel requirements, and file flight plans.
• Coordinate servicing with Flight Technician and verify aircraft status.
• Maintain knowledge of aircraft systems, regulations, and NOTAMs.
• Keep pilot certificates and medical current; complete recurrent training.
• Coordinate aircraft servicing at intermediate stops and brief crew.
