Job summary

Clark Legal Recruiting is partnering with a Metro Detroit area corporation to add an in-house commercial contracts staff attorney to its busy team. The role requires at least 8 years of attorney experience and an in-house background, with expertise in drafting, reviewing and negotiating complex commercial agreements.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, manage contract lifecycle, and advise on commercial risk in consumer goods matters. Michigan Bar admission is preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum 8 years of experience as an attorney.
• Prior in-house attorney experience.
• Expertise in drafting, reviewing and negotiating complex commercial agreements.
• Experience partnering with key stakeholders and business teams to provide legal counsel.
• Experience with contract management systems.
• Experience in consumer goods legal matters.
• Admissions to the State Bar of Michigan preferred or equivalent jurisdiction.

Requirements:

• Minimum 8 years of experience as an attorney
• Candidates must have prior in-house attorney experience
• Expertise in drafting, reviewing and negotiating complex commercial agreements
• Prior experience problem solving and partnering with key stakeholders and various business teams within a corporation to provide legal advice and counsel
• Prior contract management system experience
• Prior experience working on legal matters within the consumer goods industry
• Admissions into the State Bar of Michigan preferred or equivalent jurisdiction
