Job summary

Leoforce, a manufacturing leader in Menomonee Falls, WI, seeks a Director of HR to accelerate our corporate HR infrastructure and drive benefits, payroll, HRIS, and recruiting across locations.

You will lead five direct reports, partner with IT and Finance, and shape strategy for talent acquisition, vendor management, and HR process modernization. Travel to facilities as needed and ensure legal compliance.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field.
  • Minimum 10 years of HR experience including five years in corporate Benefits/HRIS.
  • Experience leading an HR service function and supporting employees across multiple locations.
  • Experience implementing and improving HRIS platforms; Paylocity strongly preferred.
  • Strong background in benefits administration, HR systems, process improvement, and vendor management.
  • Proven ability to deliver results individually and through a team.
  • Ability to explain benefits and HR programs clearly to employees at all levels.
  • Advanced Microsoft 365 proficiency, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and travel to company locations as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Develop corporate HR strategy, annual priorities, and multi-year roadmaps aligned with business goals.
  • Lead and develop the Payroll/HRIS Manager, Talent Acquisition Manager, and three-member HR Service team.
  • Build and improve centralized HR services, establishing service standards, response targets, and performance metrics.
  • Standardize HR processes across locations while meeting state-specific requirements.
  • Own HRIS optimization, including Paylocity configuration, integrations, module implementations, and employee/manager self-service.
  • Maintain HR data integrity, security, access controls, and regular audits.
  • Deliver reporting on headcount, turnover, recruiting performance, and benefits enrollment.
  • Oversee accurate, timely, and compliant multistate payroll.
  • Lead benefits administration, annual open enrollment, employee communications, and issue resolution.
  • Manage benefit brokers, carriers, third-party administrators, leave administrators, and recruiting vendors.
  • Support benefits renewals, plan design, contribution strategies, and claims and cost analysis.
  • Oversee ACA, COBRA, HIPAA, ERISA, Section 125 testing, and required benefits notices.
  • Oversee leave administration and wellness education, including preventive care, HDHPs, and HSAs.
  • Lead salaried recruiting, workforce planning, employer branding, candidate experience, and onboarding.
  • Support hiring and HR integration for new, expanding, and acquired facilities.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws.
  • Manage HR Services budgets and vendor spending.
  • Lead performance management and merit cycles.

Key Responsibilities and Duties

  • Strong background in benefits administration, HR systems, process improvement, and vendor management.
  • Proven ability to deliver results individually and through a team.
  • Ability to explain benefits and HR programs clearly to employees at all levels.
  • Advanced Microsoft 365 proficiency, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and travel to company locations as needed.
  • Residence within 50 miles of the office and availability for an in-office schedule.
  • U.S. work authorization without company sponsorship.
Preferred
  • Manufacturing HR experience.
  • Multistate HR experience, including California.
  • Experience with self-funded health plans.
  • HR integration experience supporting acquisitions.
  • Understanding of vendor RFP processes.
  • SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, or SPHR certification.
