Job summary

Accuray Incorporated is seeking an experienced FP&A professional to lead the planning, forecasting, and financial modeling efforts for the enterprise. You will own the annual plan, long-range planning, and the integrated financial model, collaborating with finance and business partners to deliver timely, accurate insights.

You will drive consistency in methodologies, manage planning software, and support executive reviews and board materials in a fast-paced, regulated environment.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, economics, business, or related field.
  • 5+ years of progressive FP&A, corporate finance, or related planning roles.
  • Experience supporting annual planning, forecasting, long-range planning, and financial reporting.
  • Strong financial modeling skills with integrated statements and working capital analysis.
  • Advanced Excel and PowerPoint; experience with ERP and enterprise planning systems; Power BI or Databricks.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the enterprise-wide Annual Operating Plan, forecast, and long-range planning.
  • Establish and maintain the FP&A calendar, annual plan, quarterly forecast, and close processes.
  • Develop planning instructions, timelines, templates, and key assumptions for budget owners.
  • Drive consistency in planning methodologies, definitions, and outputs across the org.
  • Administer planning software and lead improvements for efficiency and accuracy.
  • Develop driver-based model inputs with cross-functional KPIs.
  • Own and maintain the integrated financial model and scenario analyses.
  • Own the monthly financial reporting package and operating reviews.
  • Forecast lender covenant compliance metrics and cash flow forecasts.
  • Support executive planning discussions, CFO reviews, and board materials.

Job Description

What You\'ll Do (Key Responsibilities)


  • Manage the enterprise-wide Annual Operating Plan, periodic forecast, and long-range planning processes.

  • Establish and maintain the master FP&A calendar, including annual plan, quarterly forecast, monthly close, reporting packages, Board deliverables, earnings release support, and business reviews.

  • Develop and communicate planning instructions, timelines, templates, deliverables, and key assumptions to FP&A partners and budget owners.

  • Drive consistency in planning methodologies, assumptions, financial definitions, and reporting outputs across the organization.

  • Administer the Company's planning software; identify process gaps and lead improvements utilizing our software that make planning cycles more efficient, accurate, transparent, and scalable.

  • Develop and maintain driver-based model planning inputs; working cross-functionally to utilize key departmental KPIs.

  • Own and maintain the company's integrated financial model, including income statement, balance sheet, cash flow statement, and key supporting schedules. Build scenario analysis capabilities to evaluate business risks, opportunities, strategic investments, operating performance, liquidity, and long‑term financial outcomes.

  • Own the Company's monthly financial reporting package; support departmental monthly operating reviews.

  • Develop and maintain financial models to forecast and track key lender covenant compliance metrics, weekly cash forecasts, and other key Company metrics that are communicated.

  • Proactively manage planning and reporting deadlines, identify bottlenecks, and elevate timing risks or resource constraints.

  • Support executive‑level planning discussions, including CFO reviews, operating reviews, Board materials, and other leadership presentations.


Minimum Qualifications


  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or related field.

  • 5+ years of progressive experience in FP&A, Corporate Finance, Strategic Finance, Accounting, or related financial planning roles.

  • Demonstrated experience supporting or managing annual planning, forecasting, long‑range planning, and consolidated financial reporting processes.

  • Strong financial modeling skills, including experience with integrated financial statements, accounting fundamentals, operating expense and headcount planning, working capital, and variance analysis.

  • Advanced Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills; experience with ERP and enterprise planning systems; Power BI, Databricks, or similar data analysis and AI tools.

  • Demonstrated ability to manage complex timelines, cross‑functional deliverables, and recurring planning/reporting calendars.

  • Excellent communication skills, including the ability to explain financial results, planning assumptions, and business drivers to finance and non‑finance audiences.

  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and drive accountability across stakeholders.

  • High attention to detail and commitment to accuracy, consistency, and process discipline.

  • Self‑starter with strong problem‑solving skills and the ability to operate effectively in a collaborative, fast‑paced environment.


Preferred Qualifications


  • MBA, CPA, CMA, or other advanced finance/accounting credential.

  • Public company FP&A experience.

  • Experience in medical device, technology, manufacturing, capital equipment, healthcare, or other regulated industries.

  • Strong executive presence and ability to prepare concise, decision‑ready materials for senior leadership.
