Job summary

By The Hand Club For Kids is seeking a Corporate & Foundation Relations Officer to drive fundraising in Chicago, IL. Reporting to the Senior VP of Strategic Engagement, you will manage a portfolio of corporate and foundation relationships and develop strategies to expand the grant footprint beyond $18 million.

You will lead the full fundraising cycle from prospecting to stewardship, collaborating with Grants Manager and the Fund Development team to secure funding aligned with By The Hand’s

Qualifications

• Demonstrated ability to generate seven-figure annual revenue from foundations and corporations
• Strong relationship-building, communication and problem-solving skills
• Christ-centered servant leader who models Biblical principles
• At least 5 years of corporate and foundation fundraising experience preferred
• Experience with databases, research tools and MS Office

About the Position

Reporting to the Senior Vice President of Strategic Engagement, the Corporate & Foundation Relations Officer drives By The Hand’s corporate and foundation fundraising efforts by managing a portfolio of major corporate and foundation relationships.

This high-impact role develops and executes strategies to cultivate new funding partnerships, maximize current opportunities and expand By The Hand’s grant footprint toward an overall fundraising goal exceeding $18 million.

The CF Officer manages the full fundraising cycle, from prospect identification and cultivation through solicitation, reporting and stewardship. This role works closely with the Grants Manager, Volunteer Development team and broader Fund Development team to strengthen relationships and secure funding for By The Hand’s mission.

• Successful track record identifying and securing new corporate and foundation funders
• Strong relationship-building, communication and problem-solving skills
• Strategic, results-oriented and highly organized
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively
• B.A. or B.S. in nonprofit, marketing, communications, business, education or a related field
• At least 5 years of corporate and foundation fundraising experience preferred
• Experience with databases, research tools, Microsoft Office, Ninety and Google Workspace
• Valid driver's license, reliable transportation and personal auto insurance

Compensation

$90,000–$100,000 per year
