Job summary

Mercor is hiring a Strategic Finance Expert for a remote, contract-based role. You will build business cases using NPV and IRR, perform capital allocation analyses, and develop scenario planning across demand, pricing, and costs.

You will also analyze pricing economics to support margin-driven decisions and assess market size and competitive dynamics. The role requires deep experience in corporate finance, with ownership of pricing decisions and track record of presenting to leadership.

Qualifications

• 4+ years in strategic finance, corporate strategy, or corporate planning inside an operating company.
• Ownership of a capital or pricing decision that went to a leadership forum.

Responsibilities

• Build business cases and investment appraisals using NPV, IRR, and payback for projects and decisions.
• Produce capital allocation determinations, ranking investments against hurdle rates with portfolio review.
• Develop scenario and sensitivity analyses of the corporate plan across demand, pricing, and cost.
• Analyze pricing and discount economics to support price setting and deal desk approvals with margin impact.
• Conduct market sizing, competitive landscape analysis, cohort and unit economics, and cost baseline and savings analysis for cost reduction programs.
