With a data‑driven approach and the industry’s largest network of experts, The Freeman Company’s insights shape exhibitions, exhibits, and events that drive audiences to action. The integrated full‑service solutions leverage a 99‑year legacy in event management as well as new technologies to deliver moments that matter.

Summary

The Freeman Company is seeking a Senior Analyst to join its Corporate Development team at an exciting stage of the company’s growth. This is a high‑visibility, high‑impact role for someone who wants to be at the centre of strategic decision‑making — working directly with senior leadership on M&A, investment evaluation, and inorganic growth initiatives. The Senior Analyst will own key analytical workstreams end‑to‑end: from early‑stage target screening and market research through financial modelling, diligence coordination, and Investment Committee preparation. Success in this role requires not only rigorous quantitative skills but also the judgement to translate complex analysis into clear, actionable strategic recommendations.

This role requires a sophisticated understanding of financial analysis, M&A structuring, and valuation methodologies, and offers meaningful exposure to all phases of deal execution. The Senior Analyst will work closely with the Vice President of Corporate Development, external advisors, and cross‑functional teams to drive Freeman’s growth strategy. This person is eligible to work a hybrid schedule based out of our Corporate Headquarters in Dallas, TX.

Core Responsibilities
  • Provides core analytical support that underpins pipeline decisions, diligence priorities, internal resource allocation, and investment recommendations
  • Supports deal sourcing efforts through market research, target mapping, and preparation of outreach and diligence materials
  • Builds financial models, performing valuation and scenario analyses, creating synergy cases, reviewing materials, and evaluating pipeline opportunities
  • Prepares case study and investment thesis presentation materials for Investment Committee and leadership presentation
  • Helps identify high‑potential targets and maintains pipeline tracking
Financial Modeling & Valuation
  • Build/maintain sophisticated financial models including DCF, accretion/dilution, LBO, comparable company, and precedent transaction analyses
  • Perform scenario and sensitivity analyses to stress‑test assumptions and inform strategic decision‑making
  • Develop synergy cases and integration cost estimates to support and pressure‑test acquisition rationale
  • Translate model outputs into concise presentations and executive summaries for senior leadership and Investment Committee
Financial Forecasting & Transaction Analysis
  • Build multi‑year financial projections and pro forma analyses for target companies and proposed transactions
  • Model the impact of proposed transactions on key financial metrics including revenue growth, EBITDA margins, return on invested capital (ROIC), and earnings per share (EPS)
  • Assess capital structure implications and evaluate various financing scenarios in the context of proposed deals
Deal Sourcing & Market Intelligence
  • Conduct proactive market research to identify and prioritise acquisition targets, tracking industry trends, competitive dynamics, and sector consolidation activity
  • Build and maintain proprietary target databases, pipeline tracking tools, and outreach materials
  • Review CIMs, management presentations, and other deal materials to develop rapid preliminary assessments
  • Support early‑stage outreach and relationship development with potential targets and their advisors
Due Diligence & Risk Assessment
  • Coordinate and support financial due diligence workstreams, synthesising findings across commercial, operational, and financial tracks
  • Research industry trends, competitive landscapes, and market conditions to contextualise diligence findings and inform deal strategy
  • Identify and clearly articulate key risks, opportunities, and value creation levers for each opportunity
  • Prepare and maintain organised diligence documentation, project trackers, and workstream summaries
Transaction Support & Cross‑Functional Collaboration
  • Coordinate across Finance, Strategy, Operations, Legal, and other internal teams to ensure alignment on transaction priorities and timelines
  • Support preparation of LOIs, term sheets, and other transaction documents in collaboration with legal and external advisors
  • Maintain regular communication with external advisors, including investment bankers and consultants, ensuring adherence to project timelines and deliverables
  • Support post‑close integration planning and early‑stage value capture tracking
Education & Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, Accounting, or related field; MBA or CFA designation a plus
  • 4–6 yrs experience in corporate development, investment banking, private equity, management consulting, or corporate finance role
  • Demonstrated track record in M&A analysis, financial modelling, and transaction execution, with experience supporting deals from origination through close
  • Advanced proficiency in financial modelling and valuation (Excel required); PowerPoint required for presentation development
  • Experience with financial data platforms such as Capital IQ, Bloomberg, or FactSet preferred
  • Ability to independently manage multiple workstreams and competing priorities in a fast‑paced environment
  • Exceptional analytical and quantitative skills with strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to synthesize complex financial and operational information into clear, actionable insights for senior leadership
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; comfortable presenting to and engaging with senior stakeholders
