Job summary

Goldman Sachs is seeking an Analyst/Associate for its Asset & Wealth Management Corporate Development team in New York, NY. You will join a lean, high-visibility group focusing on end-to-end M&A, commercial partnerships, and business strategy, with regular exposure to senior leadership.

The role offers involvement in strategic initiatives and interactions with major stakeholders, including the GS Board of Directors, and opportunities to influence growth in a global asset management franchise.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred; finance is a plus.
• 1–3 years of experience (preferred: investment banking or equity research)
• Robust analytical, quantitative, and technical abilities (including financial modeling and valuation)
• Strong communication skills, including the ability to synthesize complex analyses into concise takeaways
• Experience with Morningstar, Preqin, FactSet, Visible Alpha, and other market data providers a plus
• Background or strong interest in the asset & wealth management industry

Responsibilities

• Support evaluation and execution of all aspects of M&A and partnership opportunities (including building the strategic case, financial model, and valuation)
• Conduct in-depth competitor and industry research to identify key trends driving change; form independent, fact-based assessments of key opportunities and threats
• Serve as a subject matter expert across traditional & alternative asset management and wealth management sectors; develop deep knowledge of competitors
• Prepare materials for AWM, Executive Office, and Board-level communications on strategy, performance, and competitive positioning
