Qualia is seeking a Corporate Counsel in San Francisco to own corporate matters and commercial contracts. You will draft and negotiate strategic partnerships, vendor and SaaS agreements, and manage equity/financing related work, while guiding business teams on risk and structure.
You'll collaborate with finance, HR, and product, oversee outside counsel, and help shape templates and playbooks, using AI tools to streamline processes.
At Qualia, we've built the leading B2B real estate technology that transforms the home buying and selling experience into a simple, secure, and enjoyable process. Our SMB and Enterprise products bring together users from across the real estate ecosystem—homebuyers and sellers, lenders, title and escrow agents, and real estate agents—onto a single shared digital closing platform, providing greater clarity and transparency to real estate transactions. Today, through our business customers across the country, millions of consumers use Qualia to close on homes every year.
Our Legal team is small but mighty, and we support every part of the business across a wide range of matters. As Corporate Counsel, you will be a key member of the team with two primary areas of ownership: corporate legal matters and commercial contracts. This is an individual contributor role reporting to our Associate General Counsel, who leads commercial partnerships, corporate, and procurement legal work.
On the corporate side, you will support board and stockholder matters, and the legal workstreams for financings, M&A, and other corporate transactions. On the commercial side, you will draft, negotiate, and advise on strategic partnership, customer, and procurement agreements, and help business teams understand deal structure and risk. You will work directly with legal, finance, and business leaders, help manage outside counsel, and help keep our templates, playbooks, and processes sharp, including by using AI tools to streamline our work.
While this role is based in San Francisco, California, we’re open to exploring remote possibilities for qualified candidates. We have other physical office locations in Austin, Texas and Concord, New Hampshire.
This role has an annual base annual of $200,000 - $230,000 plus a competitive equity and benefits package. (Salary to be determined by relevant experience, location, knowledge, and skills of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.)
Qualia is made up of incredibly bright, mission-driven coworkers who are passionate about using technology to solve real-world problems---and we’re growing quickly. In order to continue building an engaging and dynamic organization, we’re committed to giving everyone the support they need to do great work.
Our benefits package is designed to allow our team members to be their best selves, both in and out of the workplace. In addition to comprehensive health plans, a 401k program, and commuter benefits, we prioritize family and personal well‑being through professional development, parental leave, and a flexible time off policy.
