Adamas Energy LLC in Dallas seeks a Senior Corporate Counsel to provide strategic legal support for litigation, dispute resolution, claims management, and risk mitigation in our oil and gas operations. The role partners with operations, land, regulatory, commercial, accounting, EHS, and leadership to manage risk and deliver practical solutions.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3+ years of litigation or disputes experience in law firm or corporate setting.
• Experience coordinating with insurers and outside counsel.
• Strong understanding of discovery, subpoenas, litigation holds, investigations.

Responsibilities

• Advise on litigation, claims, subpoenas, investigations, pre-suit disputes, and other legal matters.
• Assess legal and business risk and develop practical resolution strategies.
• Manage outside counsel, including litigation strategy, budgets, discovery, reporting, and settlements.
• Coordinate investigations, document collection, discovery responses, witness preparation, and litigation holds.
• Support disputes involving commercial matters, operational incidents, personal injury, property damage, landowner and royalty issues, environmental claims, and regulatory matters.
• Draft and negotiate settlement agreements, demand letters, releases, and other legal documents.
• Advise management on dispute avoidance, risk reduction, and operational impacts.
• Support insurance, indemnity, incident response, and claims management matters.
• Draft, review, and negotiate commercial agreements, including NDAs, MSAs, vendor contracts, consulting agreements, purchase orders, work orders, and amendments.

Adamas Energy LLC is seeking a Senior Corporate Counsel to provide strategic legal support across litigation, dispute resolution, claims management, and risk mitigation for our oil and gas operations.

This role partners closely with teams across operations, land, regulatory, commercial, accounting, environmental, health & safety, and executive leadership to manage legal risk and deliver practical business-focused solutions. The ideal candidate is a collaborative legal advisor who can navigate complex disputes while supporting operational and commercial objectives.

This position is based in our Dallas corporate office with a flexible hybrid schedule.

Qualifications

Required

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree.
• Licensed to practice law in Texas or eligible to obtain authorization.
• Minimum 3+ years of litigation, dispute resolution, claims, or related legal experience in a law firm and/or corporate legal department.
• Experience managing litigation and claims, including coordination with business teams, insurers, and outside counsel.
• Strong understanding of discovery, subpoenas, litigation holds, investigations, settlement strategy, and outside counsel management.

Preferred

• Experience with oil & gas, energy, commercial, environmental, regulatory, employment, landowner, royalty, or operational disputes.
• Strong research, writing, negotiation, and analytical skills.
• Practical, business-oriented approach with sound judgment and risk management capabilities.
