Radix Wire & Cable, LLC in Glenwillow, OH seeks a Corporate Controller to lead accounting, financial planning and budgeting for a manufacturing operation. You will ensure GAAP compliance and provide timely financial reporting to management.

The role requires manufacturing and cost accounting expertise, ERP system experience, and the ability to manage month-end close, audits, tax preparation and forecasting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required.
• Minimum five years of progressively responsible accounting/finance experience, including leadership or management responsibilities.
• Manufacturing accounting experience is required.
• Cost accounting is required.
• CPA certification and/or MBA preferred.
• Experience with ERP systems and financial reporting software is preferred.
• Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel; Outlook and Word knowledge required.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and coordination of accounting, financial planning and budget management functions.
• Work with management and outside resources to develop and execute company accounting and financial reporting programs, policies and procedures.
• Ensure that all accounting policies and procedures conform to GAAP.
• Month end close, budgeting, and financial reporting.

• Reconcile accounts and manage financial documents (balance sheets, income statements).

Position summary and general purpose: Provide leadership and coordination of company accounting, financial planning and budget management functions. Work with management and outside resources to develop and execute company accounting and financial reporting programs, policies and procedures. Ensure that all company accounting policies and procedures conform to generally accepted accounting principles. An ideal candidate will have pervious manufacturing experience. Must have Manufacturing and Cost Accounting experience.

Position responsibilities:

Provide effective and timely support to the business in all aspects of accounting and finance.

• Month End Close
• Developing and implementing financial policies
• Ensuring compliance with financial and accounting regulations
• Preparing and managing budgets
• Managing financial reports and documents, such as balance sheets and income statements
• Handling preparation for tax returns
• Assisting with corporate financial decisions
• Preparing financial forecasting reports and financial statements (internal and external)
• Reconciling accounts
• Coordinating audits
• Recommending financial performance benchmarks
• Overseeing accounts payable and receivable departments
• Ensuring income tax compliance
• Conducting comprehensive analysis of production costs, material consumption, and inventory levels

Required Skills/ Abilities:

• Must have Manufacturing and Cost Accounting experience.
  
• Knowledge of finance, accounting, budgeting, and cost control principles including Generally Accepted Accounting Principles and Standard Cost Systems.
• Knowledge of automated financial and accounting reporting systems.
• Knowledge of federal, state and local financial regulations and reporting.
• Ability to analyze financial data and prepare financial reports, statements and projections.
• Working knowledge of short and long-term budgeting and forecasting, and product-line analysis.
• Strong analytical and organizational skills.
• Capable of managing multiple projects and programs.
• Decisive and sound business judgment.

Education and Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required
• Minimum of five (5) years of progressively responsible accounting or finance experience, including leadership or management responsibilities.
• CPA certification and/or MBA preferred
• Experience with ERP systems and financial reporting software is preferred
• Manufacturing accounting experience is required.
• Cost Accounting is required.
• Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel; working knowledge of Outlook and Word required.
