About The Role

The Corporate Controller is a senior role responsible for leading all accounting and financial operations at Manhead. This role is critical to ensuring financial accuracy, operational effectiveness, and compliance with GAAP standards. The Controller will manage day-to-day accounting functions, produce accurate financial statements, oversee audit and tax compliance, and lead the consolidation of subsidiary financials into unified corporate reports.

We are seeking a highly skilled CPA with experience in complex consolidations, systems optimization, and leadership. What You'll Do

Financial Reporting & Consolidation

  • Oversee timely preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with GAAP.
  • Lead the consolidation of multiple subsidiaries, ensuring accuracy in intercompany eliminations and reporting across business units.
  • Analyze financial performance, trends, and variances; provide strategic insight to senior leadership.
  • Maintain robust internal controls and ensure adherence to financial policies.

Accounting Operations

  • Direct all accounting functions including AR/AP, tour accounting, payroll, sales tax, royalty accounting, and expense tracking.
  • Own and optimize the monthly close process.
  • Ensure timely, accurate royalty statements and artist P&Ls with transparent recoupment tracking and clear financial reporting
  • Lead NetSuite administration and integrated tools and systems and ensure proper system configuration for current and future consolidation needs.
  • Manage relationships with external auditors and ensure successful, efficient audits.

Tax, Treasury, and Risk

  • Coordinate with external CPA firm for tax filings and compliance across local, state, and federal levels.
  • Ensure timely and accurate filing of sales/use taxes and property taxes.
  • Serve as primary contact for banks and insurance providers in collaboration with the CEO.
  • Maintain oversight of treasury management and cash flow optimization.
  • Manage monthly financial data and reporting to ensure accurate, timely compliance with line of credit covenant requirements.

Leadership & Culture

  • Inspire, coach, and grow the accounting team through clear goal setting, mentorship, and performance management.
  • Foster an open, transparent, and team-oriented culture aligned with Manhead’s values.
  • Drive cross-functional collaboration and serve as a key advisor to the Vice President and executive team.
  • Embody a positive, solutions-focused approach, even in fast-paced or ambiguous situations.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) preferred
  • 8–10+ years of progressive accounting experience, including multi-entity or consolidated reporting, with minimum of 2 years in a leadership role.
  • Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP and internal controls
  • Proven track record of leadership in dynamic, high-growth environments
  • Expertise with ERP systems (NetSuite preferred) and Excel.
  • Excellent communication, analytical, and organizational skills
  • Passion for building culture and driving operational excellence.
