Job Summary

Reybold is a growing construction and property management company seeking a Corporate Controller to manage the accounting department, record accurate transactions, supervise monthly financial statement preparation, analyze financial data for division managers and owners, complete periodic government filings, registrations, and tax returns, and manage cash flow per owner requirements.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Cash Management: Supervise preparation of daily cash reports, initiate fund transfers to maintain owner stipulated balances, forecast cash needs, and advise owners.
  • Debt Management: Prepare interim and month‑end draws on construction loans, set up new G/L accounts, record new loans, maintain debt maturity schedule, and coordinate renewals/refinancing.
  • Financial Custodian: Reconcile monthly payroll bank account, safeguard payroll items, schedule bank runs, deposit distributions, and hold insurance policies.
  • Accounting Department Leadership: Train and advise staff, allocate workloads, review general ledger and other transactions, and conduct semi‑monthly meetings.
  • Personnel Administration: Identify staffing needs, approve hiring, conduct interviews, evaluate performance, coordinate pay, promotions, bonuses, and disciplinary actions.
  • Document Management: Implement and maintain transaction documentation and retention policies for AP, AR, banking, journals, reconciliations, cost records, and lender AIA’s.
  • Advanced Accounting Functions: Perform tasks beyond staff capacity such as recording depreciation, amortization, overhead allocation, inter‑company charges, capitalization of self‑constructed assets, and property settlements.
  • Financial Reporting: Supervise and complete monthly financial reporting, including traditional statements, operating analysis, ratio analysis, manager reporting, and quarterly disclosures.
  • Registrations and Tax Filings: Maintain tax calendar and complete all periodic registrations and tax filings (excise, LLC fees, gross receipts, IFTA, fuels/heavy equipment, income taxes) and prepare annual workpapers for tax preparation.
  • Additional Duties: Hire, fire, and evaluate accounting personnel; support CFO, division managers, and owners in all capacities.
Qualifications
  • Public accounting experience preferred.
  • 5–10 years industry experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting.
  • CPA certification.
  • Advanced knowledge of GAAP and tax accounting.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel; Yardi experience a plus.
