Job summary

Meet Life Sciences Ltd. in Alameda, CA seeks an experienced Corporate Contracts Manager II to support clinical and R&D contracting activities. This contract role requires hands-on drafting, redlining, and negotiation of CSAs/CTAs, with 2–3+ years in-house pharma/biotech contracts.

You will partner with Legal, Clinical, R&D, and Finance teams to track and manage agreements through execution. Strong negotiation with external counterparties and CLM system experience are highly valued.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience drafting, redlining, and negotiating CSAs/CTAs.
• 2–3+ years in-house contracts in pharma/biotech/clinical research; 5+ years preferred.
• Experience negotiating with external counterparties.
• Experience with CLM systems; Agiloft is a plus.
• Strong organizational, communication, and time-management skills.
• Experience identifying contractual risks and working with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Draft, redline, negotiate, and manage clinical and R&D contracts.
• Manage a high volume of Clinical Study Agreements.
• Negotiate terms with external counterparties and vendors.
• Identify and communicate contractual risks.
• Partner with Legal, Clinical, R&D, CMC, Finance, and other internal teams.
• Track contracts through negotiation, approval, and execution.
• Support in-house attorneys and other contracting activities as needed.

Corporate Contracts Manager II (Contract) – Clinical Contracts

NB! Hands-on experience drafting, redlining, and negotiating Clinical Study Agreements (CSAs) and/or Clinical Trial Agreements (CTAs) is required. Contract administration-only experience will not be sufficient.

I'm partnering with a leading biotechnology organization seeking an experienced Corporate Contracts Manager II to support clinical and R&D contracting activities.

Requirements

• Hands-on experience drafting, redlining, and negotiating CSAs/CTAs
• 2–3+ years of in-house contracts experience within pharma, biotech, clinical research, or a similar environment; 5+ years preferred
• Experience negotiating directly with external counterparties
• Bachelor's degree preferred; JD not required
• Experience with a Contract Lifecycle Management (CLM) system; Agiloft is a plus
• Strong organizational, communication, and time-management skills
• Experience identifying contractual risks and working with cross-functional stakeholders

Strong Plus

• Vendor contract negotiation and external vendor management
• Experience with research agreements, consulting/service agreements, MTAs, and other R&D contracts
• Knowledge of pharmaceutical/biotechnology drug development
