Base pay range: $30.31/hr - $32.50/hr

Job Overview

The BSA CDD/EDD Investigator I reviews member accounts and activities to ensure compliance with Golden 1’s Customer Identification Program (CIP). Responsibilities include conducting initial Customer Due Diligence (CDD) and Enhanced Due Diligence (EDD) reviews, especially for high-risk members identified through automated risk scoring. This role supports maintaining compliance with BSA and AML regulations and assists in monitoring high-risk accounts.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze member relationships, documentation, activity patterns, and transactions to detect suspicious activity.
• Perform timely CDD/EDD reviews for high-risk members per policies.
• Utilize internet sources and third-party vendors (e.g., Google, LexisNexis, CLEAR) for due diligence.
• Respond to inquiries regarding customer identification and due diligence.
• Coordinate account closures if proper identification is not obtained.
• Collaborate with business lines on due diligence information and escalate complex issues.
• Assist management with audits and examinations.
• Stay updated on regulatory changes related to BSA, OFAC, AML, and KYC.
• Ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations.

Skills and Qualifications

• Associate’s degree or equivalent experience.
• 1-4 years of BSA/AML, CDD, and EDD experience, including investigations and research.
• Strong communication, organizational, and analytical skills.
• Proficiency in Windows, MS Office, and electronic banking tools.
• Self-motivated with sound judgment, able to work independently and in teams.

Physical and Other Requirements

• Reside within 50 miles of headquarters.
• Prolonged sitting, occasional mobility.
• Normal range vision and hearing (hearing aids provided if needed).

Certifications (Preferred)

Certifications such as CAMS, PCI, CFI, CFCI, or CFE are preferred but must be obtained within three years of hire if not already held.
