Job summary

Amgen seeks a Corporate Communications Operations Manager to support the Vice President and leadership team by steering priorities, planning, and day-to-day operations. This role ensures high-priority work stays on track, links activity across teams, and maintains structure and follow-through on initiatives.

You will partner on annual planning, budgets, and running team rhythms while preparing executive-ready updates for senior leadership. Strong PM and communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

  • Doctorate or equivalent terminal degree required or Master’s with 2+ years in communications, PM, or operations
  • Bachelor’s degree with 4+ years in communications, PM, or operations
  • Associate’s degree with 8+ years in communications, PM, or operations
  • High school diploma with 10+ years in communications, PM, or operations
  • Extensive cross-functional coordinating experience across senior leadership teams

Responsibilities

  • Manage priority projects and cross-functional workstreams.
  • Track key priorities, milestones, decisions, and follow-up actions.
  • Coordinate leadership team meetings, agendas, materials, and follow-through.

Corporate Communications Operations, Manager
What you will do

Let’s do this. Let’s change the world. In this vital role you will be supporting the Vice President and leadership team in managing the function’s priorities, planning, and day-to-day operations. Basic Qualifications:
  • Doctorate degree
  • OR
  • Master’s degree and 2 years of communications, project management, business operations, or related experience
  • OR
  • Bachelor’s degree and 4 years of communications, project management, business operations, or related experience
  • OR
  • Associate’s degree and 8 years of communications, project management, business operations, or related experience
  • OR
  • High school diploma / GED and 10 years of communications, project management, business operations, or related experience
Preferred Qualifications:
  • 5+ years of experience in corporate communications, communications operations, project management, or a related field
  • Experience supporting a senior leader or leadership team in a complex organization
  • Experience managing multiple projects, timelines, stakeholders, and deliverables in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to organize complex work, establish clear plans, and drive projects through completion
  • Experience working across teams and functions to coordinate work and resolve issues
  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft PowerPoint, Word, Excel, and collaboration/project management tools
  • Strong project management skills, including developing workplans, managing timelines, tracking decisions and dependencies, and coordinating stakeholders
  • Ability to synthesize information and translate it into clear, concise communications, presentations, and leadership materials
  • Strong judgment and discretion when handling confidential or sensitive information
  • Ability to anticipate needs, identify gaps, and bring structure to ambiguous or evolving work
  • Demonstrated ability to build relationships and work effectively with colleagues at all levels
  • Experience improving team processes, operating rhythms, workflows, and ways of working
  • Experience with communications planning, internal or external communications, or corporate affairs preferred
  • Experience in a global, matrixed organization and/or biopharmaceutical or healthcare industry preferred

The expected annual salary range for this role in the U.S. (excluding Puerto Rico) is posted. Actual salary will vary based on several factors including but not limited to, relevant skills, experience, and qualifications.
