Job summary

Dow Jones is seeking a motivated Corporate Communications Summer Intern for a 10-week program in New York City. You will create content for press releases, executive communications and social media, while monitoring media trends and supporting event planning.

You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams, gain visibility with senior leaders, and participate in professional development sessions in a hybrid in-office setting.

Qualifications

• Completed at least two years toward your bachelor’s degree with a focus on communications, public relations, marketing or a related field
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with an ability to tailor messages for different audiences
• Ability to handle confidential or otherwise sensitive information with discretion
• Experience creating engaging social media content and a keen interest in staying updated on the latest digital trends
• Attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a deadline-driven environment
• A positive attitude, eagerness to learn and a proactive approach to tasks

Responsibilities

• Contribute to the development of engaging and compelling content for various communication channels, including press releases, executive communications, social media and the company intranet
• Monitor and analyze media coverage relevant to the company and industry trends; summarize key findings for internal distribution
• Assist in the planning and execution of corporate events, including preparing materials and coordinating logistics
• Track earned media, speaking engagements and broadcast appearances and assist in creating coverage reports tied to key events and product announcements
• Contribute to the management of our corporate social media accounts, including content creation, scheduling posts and engaging with our online community
• Work closely with cross-functional teams and executive leadership to ensure consistency and alignment in all Dow Jones communications
