Job summary

Athene is seeking a Public Relations intern to gain hands-on experience in corporate communications and stakeholder engagement. You will support media relations, corporate marketing, responsibility, and government relations while collaborating with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities include identifying media opportunities, researching content, and delivering strategic recommendations to leadership. The program includes a 10-week project and exposure to real-world corporate communications.

Qualifications

• Must be enrolled at a college/university for Fall term 2027.
• Strong verbal and written communication; familiarity with AP style.
• Proven time management and organizational skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team and independently.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office; familiarity with analytics or media monitoring is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Identify earned media opportunities and learn best practices for engaging media outlets.
• Research newsworthy content for distribution to stakeholders.
• Collaborate on strategies to amplify Athene’s corporate voice across channels.
• Work with Marketing, Internal Communications, Government Relations, etc., to deliver consistent messaging.
• Conduct media monitoring and provide coverage insights and trends.
