Qualifications

• Strong grasp of finance and accounting fundamentals.
• Advanced financial modeling (Excel, VBA/Python).

Overview

Corporate & Business Development Manager/Director (Level dependent on experience). Join Houston’s most exciting startup, Syzygy Plasmonics, building the world’s lowest cost Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF) plants using our proprietary all-electric photocatalyst reactor technology. Syzygy Plasmonics Inc. is hiring for its Corporate & Business Development function. This high-impact role sits at the crossroads of corporate development, commercial strategy, and financial analysis, presenting an opportunity to work directly with Syzygy’s leadership team to drive growth, sanction projects, and build long-lasting industry partnerships. We are open to hiring at the Manager or Director level depending on qualifications and leadership depth of the successful candidate.

What You’ll Do

• Lead techno-economic/financial modeling to guide investment & deployment decisions
• Translate technical solutions into commercially viable offerings and market strategies
• Identify and advance strategic growth opportunities with customers, partners, and internal teams

What We’re Looking For

• Experience: 3+ years in business/corporate development, consulting, investment banking, or engineering with techno-economic analysis. Energy, cleantech, or industrial sector experience is a plus
• Education: Bachelor's or higher in Finance, Economics, Engineering, Chemistry, or related fields
• Skills: Synthesize complex technical and market data into actionable insights
• Advanced financial modeling (Excel, VBA/Python is a plus)
• Strong grasp of finance and accounting fundamentals
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
• Comfortable operating in ambiguity and fast-paced environments
