Job summary

Fifth Third Bank in Detroit, MI is seeking a Corporate Banking Analyst to support multinational banking initiatives. You will build and refine financial models, perform due diligence, and develop high-impact pitch materials for clients, collaborating with Credit, Capital Markets, and other units.

You will mentor junior team members, manage multiple opportunities, and contribute strategic input on product solutions while adhering to Fifth Third's risk and compliance standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field.
• 2–3 years of corporate banking experience.
• Exposure to financial analysis and corporate finance concepts.
• SIE, Series 79, and Series 63 licenses required within Fifth Third guidelines.
• Strong proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

• Independently complete credit and corporate finance analysis, including risk assessment and valuation.
• Support Managing Directors and senior bankers in client coverage, including preparation of pitch books and market updates.
• Provide strategic input on product suitability and capital markets solutions for clients.
• Mentor and guide Analyst I team members.

Your Responsibilities

• Build, refine, and interpret complex financial models to support client recommendations and transaction analysis.

Minimum Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
• 2–3 years of relevant experience in corporate banking.
• Demonstrated academic or professional exposure to financial analysis and corporate finance concepts.
• Securities Industry Essentials (SIE), Series 79, and Series 63 licenses required within Fifth Third guidelines.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.

• Technology Proficiency: Advanced familiarity with third-party financial platforms and databases (e.g., Bloomberg, Capital IQ) used in investment banking or corporate finance environments.
