Job Description

A top tier global law firm is seeking a mid-level associate with at least four years of experience to join its M&A and Private Equity practice in Chicago.

The team advises private equity sponsors, high-growth companies, and strategic buyers on complex US and cross-border mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, and equity and debt financings. The work includes sponsor-side buyouts, growth investments, portfolio company matters, and strategic M&A across a broad range of industries.

This role offers exposure to high-value transactions, direct partner access, and close collaboration with leading finance, tax, and regulatory teams across the firm’s global platform.

Qualifications

Candidates should have strong experience in M&A and private equity transactions from a major national or international law firm, with proven drafting and negotiation skills and the ability to manage multiple workstreams in a fast-paced deal environment. Experience advising private equity funds and portfolio companies is strongly preferred.
