Job summary

Interlink Talent Solutions is assisting a client in Houston, TX, seeking a mid-level associate to join their Corporate Practice Group. This role offers exposure to a nationally recognized corporate platform and the opportunity to work on sophisticated transactional matters from day one.

You will have direct partner mentorship, regular client interaction, and meaningful growth within a collaborative, high-performing team dedicated to complex deal work.

Qualifications

  • 3 to 6 years of transactional experience, with emphasis on mergers and acquisitions and divestitures.
  • Experience second-chairing complex transactions is preferred.
  • Ability to manage multiple sophisticated matters with direct client contact.
  • Licensed and in good standing in the State of Texas.
  • Immediate exposure to high-level transactional work with significant responsibility.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a core team member on complex transactional matters, focusing on acquisitions and divestitures.
  • Second-chair sophisticated transactions and manage fundamental deal aspects from due diligence through closing.
  • Draft, review, and negotiate transactional documents.
  • Communicate directly with clients, opposing counsel, and supervising attorneys.
  • Manage transaction timelines and ensure efficient matter progression.
  • Support securities-related matters as needed.

Job description

Our client is seeking a mid-level associate to join the Corporate Practice Group in their Houston office. This is an exciting opportunity to work within a nationally recognized corporate practice and take on a meaningful role in sophisticated transactional matters from day one. The deal teams are intentionally structured to provide associates with significant responsibility, direct partner mentorship, and regular client interaction.

Responsibilities:
  • Serve as a core team member on complex transactional matters, primarily focused on acquisitions and divestitures.
  • Second-chair sophisticated transactions and manage fundamental aspects of deals from due diligence through closing.
  • Draft, review, and negotiate transactional documents.
  • Communicate directly with clients, opposing counsel, and supervising attorneys.
  • Manage transaction timelines and ensure efficient matter progression.
  • Support securities-related matters as needed.
Qualifications:
  • 3 to 6 years of transactional experience, with a strong focus on mergers and acquisitions and divestitures.
  • Experience second-chairing complex transactions preferred.
  • Ability to manage multiple sophisticated matters and maintain direct client contact.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage key components of transactions independently.
  • Some securities experience is a plus, but not required.
  • Licensed and in good standing in the State of Texas.
  • Immediate exposure to sophisticated, high-level transactional work.
