Job summary

Gamoran Legal Consulting seeks an Emerging Companies & Venture Capital Associate for its Corporate practice in Chicago, IL. You will work on venture capital financings, M&A, corporate governance, and other strategic transactions for startups, founders, investors, and growth-stage companies.

You will advise clients on corporate and venture capital matters, draft and negotiate transaction documents, and collaborate with attorneys and clients on sophisticated matters in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 2–5 years of meaningful corporate transactional experience in a law firm setting.
• Experience representing emerging companies and venture capital clients is strongly preferred.
• Knowledge of corporate finance, mergers and acquisitions, securities, and general corporate law.
• Strong drafting, negotiation, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple sophisticated matters in a fast-paced environment.

Compensation:

$215,000–$270,000 annually (commensurate with experience), plus eligibility for performance-based bonus opportunities and a comprehensive benefits package.
