Job summary

Moog Inc. seeks a Corporate AI Security Engineer in Buffalo, NY to lead the enterprise AI Assurance and Monitoring Program, ensuring secure, compliant, and responsible AI use across the organization, including LLMs and Microsoft Copilot.

You will collaborate with Cyber Security, IT, Legal, Compliance, and business stakeholders to establish governance, monitor AI usage, and educate on evolving AI security topics while supporting hybrid work arrangements at the East Aurora headquarters.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Cyber Security, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Typically 3–5 years of experience in Cyber Security, Information Security Governance, Risk & Compliance (GRC) or related discipline.
• Experience with AI and ML technologies, including Large Language Models (LLMs), and associated security and governance risks.
• Knowledge of security frameworks and standards such as NIST CSF, NIST 800-53, NIST AI RMF, ISO 27001, etc.
• Understanding of data protection principles including data classification, DLP, and privacy regulations.
• Experience monitoring, auditing, and enforcing technology usage policies within enterprise environments.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms and AI-enabled technologies such as Microsoft Copilot, Azure OpenAI, and SaaS-based AI solutions.
• Knowledge of third‑party vendor risk management, particularly related to AI technologies and data handling practices.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with ability to identify risks, evaluate controls, and recommend mitigations.
• Experience creating executive‑level reports, dashboards, metrics, and assurance reporting.
• Collaboration across IT, Cyber Security, Legal, Compliance, and business functions.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills; ability to educate on evolving AI security topics.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Knowledge of ITAR, EAR, and CMMC regulations preferred.
• Professional certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CRISC, or AI/security‑related certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Implement, maintain, and improve Moog's enterprise AI Assurance and Monitoring Program.
• Support policies, standards, and procedures governing internal and third‑party AI technologies.
• Monitor AI tool usage to ensure compliance with cyber security and governance requirements.
• Verify unauthorized AI software or services are not used in production.
• Partner with IT, Cyber Security, and Operating Groups to address AI usage issues.
• Design and maintain controls to monitor AI usage (logging, auditing, alerting).
• Identify AI security risks like data leakage and policy violations.
• Prepare and deliver monthly AI Assurance reports detailing usage trends and risks.
• Collaborate to enforce AI governance standards across stakeholders.
• Provide guidance for secure AI adoption; assess risks including data exposure and vendor risks.
• Coordinate remediation activities for AI security concerns.
• Support AI security awareness training and materials.
• Provide reporting on compliance gaps and remediation opportunities.
• Partner with Security Operations and IT to investigate AI-related incidents.
• Continuously evaluate emerging AI threats and regulatory developments.

Moog's Corporate Group is looking for aCorporate AI Security Engineerto join our Cyber Security Team!

As the Corporate AI Security Engineer, you will lead the implementation, oversight, and continuous improvement of Moog's enterprise AI Assurance and Monitoring Program. You will serve as a key subject matter expert responsible for ensuring the secure, compliant, and responsible use of Artificial Intelligence technologies across the organization, including internally authorized Large Language Models (LLMs) and third‑party AI platforms such as Microsoft Copilot.

In this role, you will partner closely with Cyber Security, IT, Legal, Compliance, and business stakeholders to establish governance practices, monitor AI usage, identify emerging risks, and ensure adherence to corporate policies, regulatory requirements, and data protection standards. You will also support the organization's AI adoption efforts through education, guidance, reporting, and assurance activities.

Applicants must live local to the Buffalo, NY area, be willing to relocate, or be able to support a hybrid work schedule (3 days in office) at Moog's East Aurora headquarters.

To qualify for the Corporate AI Security Engineer role, here is what we would expect you to bring to Moog...

• Typically, three (3) to five (5) years of experience in Cyber Security, Information Security Governance, Risk & Compliance (GRC), or a related discipline

As the Corporate AI Security Engineer, you will...

• Assess risks associated with AI technologies, including data exposure, model behavior, prompt injection, and third‑party vendor risks
• Coordinate remediation and mitigation activities to address identified AI security and compliance concerns
• Support the development and delivery of AI security awareness training and educational materials
• Provide Operating Groups and business stakeholders with reporting on compliance gaps and remediation opportunities
• Partner with Security Operations and IT teams to investigate incidents involving AI misuse, policy violations, or security events
• Continuously evaluate emerging AI threats, vulnerabilities, technologies, and regulatory developments to enhance assurance and security strategies
• Serve as a liaison between the AI Enablement Committee, Cyber Security, IT, and business stakeholders to promote responsible AI adoption and governance

Buffalo, NY $95,000.00-$140,000.00 Annually
