Job summary

AbbVie Inc. in Chicago offers a Corporate Affairs internship for undergraduate students to gain hands-on experience across marketing, communications, public affairs and philanthropy while working with energetic colleagues and inspirational leaders.

You will support project teams, conduct research, develop presentations, and collaborate with cross-functional partners on initiatives such as content strategy, media relations, and community programs.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in university, pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in public relations, communications, integrated marketing, journalism or related field
• Must be enrolled in university for at least one semester following the internship
• Expected graduation date between December 2027 – June 2028
• Basic/intermediate experience in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams)
• Demonstrated leadership skills (extracurricular activities, projects or internships)
• Cumulative GPA of 3.00 or higher preferred

Responsibilities

• Support project teams in planning and executing Corporate Affairs initiatives and programs.
• Conduct research and gather information to support communications, stakeholder engagement and business priorities.
• Develop presentations, reports, content, and other materials for internal and external audiences.
• Analyze information and summarize insights, trends and recommendations for team members and leaders.
• Collaborate with colleagues across Corporate Affairs and other functions to support cross-functional projects.
