Job summary

Anglian Water invites graduates to join a two-year Graduate Programme addressing environmental and infrastructure challenges across the region. You’ll work on climate resilience, major engineering projects, digital innovation and customer experience, gaining skills to become a future leader or specialist.

Starting in September 2027, you’ll experience varied placements across Huntingdon, London and other sites, with strong professional development, qualifications support and opportunities to grow

Qualifications

• Minimum 2:2 in any degree discipline and must graduate by September 2027 for the 2027 intake.
• Strong communication, written and verbal, with ability to present policy options.
• Interest in water, environment, infrastructure and public sector challenges.

Responsibilities

• Policy research and insight, monitoring parliamentary activity and government announcements.
• Drafting internal briefings and external engagement documents with concise messages.
• Stakeholder engagement support, including meeting preparation and follow-up.
• Policy analysis and position development with evidence-based options.

Responsibilities

• Policy and political research and insight. Monitoring and summarising parliamentary activity, government announcements and wider policy developments.
• Drafting internal briefings and external engagement documents. For example, updates on political and policy announcements, responses to government and parliamentary consultations.
• Stakeholder engagement support. Assisting with the preparation and follow-up for meetings, for example by researching MPs’ interests, or drafting key messages.
• Policy analysis and position development. Working with colleagues to develop company positions on emerging government policies, including developing the evidence base to understand the implications of different options.

For this role, you’ll need to have obtained in the last 3 years or be studying towards a minimum 2:2 in any degree discipline and have graduated by September 2027 for the 2027 intake.
