Job summary

Kestra Financial, Inc. is seeking an experienced accounting leader to drive the corporate accounting function. You will manage staff, oversee treasury, and coordinate month-end close while ensuring GAAP compliance and audit readiness.

Responsibilities

  • Manage month-end close including fixed assets and payroll accounting; analyze financial statements.
  • Ensure compliance with internal policies and regulatory standards.
  • Support external audits and respond to auditor inquiries as needed.
  • Prepare federal and state income tax return schedules with accuracy and deadlines.

The Client Service Associate is a key point of contact for clients and plays an essential role in delivering an outstanding client experience. You will support advisors, manage daily operations, process paperwork, and ensure client requests are handled efficiently and accurately. You will use your excellent customer service, polished communication, and problem-solving skills to confidently meet the service needs of our clients and partners.

What you’ll Do:
  • Lead and direct corporate accounting staff in the day-to-day performance of their responsibilities, monitor team productivity, and provide performance evaluations and constructive feedback.
  • Oversee administrative functions related to corporate bank accounts and treasury management.
  • Manage the month-end financial close process including fixed assets and payroll accounting. Perform accounting analyses to validate financial statements, identify potential errors, and provide clear and accurate responses to questions regarding financial results and account activity.
  • Assess and enhance accounting workflows to improve efficiency and accuracy, ensuring full compliance with internal policies and all relevant legal and regulatory standards.
  • Support the Director of Corporate Accounting in the execution of external financial audits and assist the Controller, as needed, including coordinating and reviewing requested supporting documentation and assisting with responses to auditor inquiries.
  • Prepare supporting schedules and documentation for federal and state income tax returns, ensuring information is accurate, complete, and provided in accordance with established filing deadlines.
  • Ensure the timely and successful completion of departmental and project milestones by proactively addressing potential challenges and implementing effective solutions and recommendations.
  • Assist the Director of Corporate Accounting with special projects and strategic initiatives, including research, analysis, process improvements, and other accounting-related matters, as assigned.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Thorough knowledge of GAAP and a strong understanding of established accounting policies and procedures.
  • Exceptional critical-thinking abilities with a proactive approach to planning, prioritization, and conceptual problem-solving.
  • Proven ability to collaborate effectively across all levels of the organization and with external partners, using creativity, strategic problem-solving, and results-oriented thinking.
  • Excellent communication and analytical skills, coupled with adaptability, innovation, and a continuous-improvement mindset for designing and enhancing processes.
  • Demonstrated success in training, inspiring, and coaching team members to achieve individual and collective goals.

What You Bring:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required; MBA, MAcc, or CPA preferred.
  • 5–7 years of progressive experience in Accounting or Finance.
  • 1–2 years of previous management experience
