Job summary

SmartStop Self Storage, a leading self-storage REIT, is seeking a Corporate Accountant to join our on-site team at the Ladera Ranch headquarters. The role focuses on preparing financial reports, consolidations, and daily ledger activities to support executive decision-making.

Qualifications include a Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance, 1–3 years in accounting, solid knowledge of GAAP, and strong communication.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration required.
• 1–3 years' experience in public accounting and/or private company accounting.
• Knowledge of GAAP and general financial accounting.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, and detail-oriented.

Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly financial statements and consolidation for senior management.
• Coordinate monthly reporting from property accountants.
• Produce journal entries and account reconciliations.
• Maintain the general ledger.
• Prepare supplemental financial schedules.
• Assist with internal variance analysis reports.
• Support external financial statement audits.
• Assist Treasury management.
• Perform related duties as assigned.
