You will supervise practices and games, ensure compliance with MHSAA rules, coordinate with the Athletics Director, and mentor scholars academically and personally.
A strong candidate has at least three years coaching at HS/college level, an Associate's degree or higher, and solid communication and teamwork.
The role of the Soccer Coach is to teach fundamental skills for post high school opportunities while using Soccer as a tool to develop a Complete Life. Cornerstone Education Group sees the role of the Soccer Coach as being someone who, in addition to having a high level of knowledge in coaching the sport of soccer but can also model a virtuous life beyond the classroom. Ideally it will be someone who can coach our students in a highly competitive sport yet help them keep a balance in all aspects of their lives, spiritually, socially, mentally and physically. Student athletes promote school spirit, school pride, and encourage the members of the athletic teams. Their involvement and enthusiasm in the Cornerstone community helps current and future students desire to be part of the community. The Soccer Coach is responsible for the operation of the program while remaining in compliance with the Board of Education, district, building and MHSAA rules and policies. The district supports promotion of internal candidates.
