Job description

Vistar Eye Center, the premier physician owned Ophthalmology practice in Southwest Virginia, due to continued growth we are seeking a highly competent cornea surgeon to join our team.

With 18 MD’s and 8 OD’s, Vistar covers all ophthalmology subspecialties except neuro-ophthalmology. We have 24 primary and satellite locations throughout the Roanoke and Southwest Virginia community. Our physicians are owners in our multi-location fully accredited ophthalmic surgery centers. The successful candidate will expect a significant volume immediately and work in our primary offices in the Roanoke area and our satellite offices focusing on medical and surgical care.

The Roanoke Valley is nestled in the Blue Ridge Mountains of Virginia between the Blue Ridge Parkway and Appalachian Trail. You can have an urban, rural, or lakefront lifestyle with easy access to the Carolinas, Washington D.C., and other bordering states. This is a great opportunity to build a rewarding and lucrative long-term practice while enjoying a fantastic work life balance. The Roanoke Valley itself offers three local colleges and universities as well as a higher education center affiliated with additional universities, a new medical school, nationally recognized art museum, open-space greenways for running, biking and hiking, and a rapidly growing downtown entertainment district.

We offer a very competitive base salary with an incentive bonus program that allows for considerably greater earnings from your first day. Vistar Eye Center is physician owned and managed and with the opportunity for partnership in the practice and in several business ventures including the ambulatory surgery center and real estate after only 18 months.
