Job summary

Northeast Ohio Eye Surgeons, part of Midwest Vision Partners, seeks a Cornea Specialist in Northeast Ohio. Join an established practice with a strong base salary and signing bonus, handling cornea and cataract evals across Kent, Stow, and Fairlawn locations.

Monday surgeries with additional Friday sessions and a focus on clinic-based cornea care. Relocation to join a team moving from ophthalmology to a broader cataract focus is anticipated, with no inpatient calls.

Qualifications

• Board-certified or board-eligible ophthalmologist aiming to specialize in cornea.
• Ohio medical license or eligibility required.
• Interest in cataract evals to feed surgeons.

Responsibilities

• Provide cornea specialty care and surgeries at Kent, Stow, and Fairlawn clinics.
• Collaborate with cataract evals to support surgeons.
• Maintain clinic-based patient care with no inpatient duties.

Job description

Northeast Ohio Eye Surgeons, a premier eye care provider with over 30 years of clinical excellence across Northeast Ohio, and Midwest Vision Partners, are looking for an exceptional Cornea Specialist to join our team.

• Physician relocating from Ohio to Florida due to family reasons...step into an already fully functioning practice on Day1.
• Clinic locations are Kent, Stow, and Fairlawn, OH
• Surgery is at St. Clare in Stow (named a US News Best ASC in 2025)Surgery: Every Monday and 3 Fridays/month (phacos only on Friday)
  24-26 Sx cases per day
• Lasik 1-2 Fridays/month (optional)
• Patient volume is 30-35 patients per day; mix of cataract and cornea
• Team approach with a recent surgeon moving to a medical ophthalmologist role doing cataract evals to feed our surgeons
• Most cat evals were being fed to this new surgeon
• Call: MDs are backup; OD is primary. If the OD needs the MD, it is by phone only
• No hospital call or inpatient responsibilities
• Very strong base salary and signing bonus
