Job description

The Department of Ophthalmology at Eastern Virginia Medical School is seeking applicants for a tenure-eligible faculty position specializing in Cornea and External Disease. Interest in cataract and comprehensive ophthalmology would be beneficial. The department is expanding with new clinical facilities. The greater Norfolk area has a large and diverse patient population, which enriches the clinical, educational, and research opportunities for the faculty. The Norfolk/Virginia Beach area is rich in cultural activities and natural beauty.

Candidates must have a MD and be American Board of Ophthalmology certified or board eligible, and fellowship training in cornea is required. The faculty candidate must be committed to a career in academic medicine and must be interested in combining clinical practice with resident education and research. Rank and salary will be commensurate with experience.
